My daughter doing some knife grinding

My oldest daughter has always shown an interest in my work, and even made a small knife some time ago.

Recently she started forging things like bottle openers. And yesterday she asked me if she could do something in my shop. I didn’t have something else ready for her there and then, and I didn’t have time to prepare anything, so I gave her the blank of a stainless damascus damasteel kitchen knife to clean up and shape the outline.

I feel blessed that she wants to learn.
